Holland Christian is able to support church and family beliefs in a clear, consistent manner. Children hear the same message at home, school, and church. The goal is to build a strong, Christian young adult who is able to go into the world with a heart for God, a mind trained in discernment, and an unchanging standard by which to live. The relationship that children have with their Lord and Savior can be developed and strengthened through the guidance of master teachers and positive peer groups.

Prayer and Chapels
A student's day begins with prayer and devotions led by their teacher or a fellow student. A lively connection to Christ continues throughout the school day using Biblical lessons woven throughout the curriculum.  With regularity, students and staff come together for worship during chapel. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are welcome to participate in this creative expression of God's love. Led by a variety of students, pastors, parents, and even grandparents, chapels knit the entire building together in worship and praise.  High School Chapel Webpage

Bible Studies
The Bible is a textbook for life. Through Bible classes, independent studies, and study groups our students deepen their appreciation for this instrument of God. Our teachers are guides helping students to discover the Bible's current significance and endless wisdom.

Journeys with the Spirit
Sometimes the best learning occurs beyond the four walls of the classroom. From field trips in the elementary grades to 7th grade camp and dune study in middle school, students explore God's wider world. For middle and high school students and adults, we offer educational experiences that expose participants to different cultures. We challenge participants to wrestle with how they can impact the world as Christians.

During most summers middle school teachers lead a tour to England and France. The goal of the trip is to experience world history, art history, and Bible history in a cross-cultural setting. In addition, each year dozens of middle school students travel to Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior where they develop team skills while hiking, canoeing, and camping. Every other year the middle schools sponsor a summer trip to the U.S. Space Camp and Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama. Students may also choose to experience tropic environmental workshops in Costa Rica.

Off-campus experiences for high school students include Israel in Depth seminars, in which students see the Bible set in the context in which it was written. Students can also choose a study seminar to Greece and Turkey exploring the growth of the early church and the spread of Christianity. Other travel opportunities are offered regularly including study and mission trips to locations such as Spain, Honduras, and Walden Pond. The goal of all the travel opportunities is to strengthen the students' educational experience and bring them to a greater global perspective of Christianity.
