Flower Power

Purpose:

  • To learn and use the Oval, Freehand, Regular and Irregular Polygon Tool. Also learn Grouping, Rotating, and Selecting techniques.

To do:

  • Create your own illustration of a real world object using Oval, Freehand, Regular and Irregular Polygon tool. Also experiment with grouping, rotating, and selecting techniques.
  • The illustration you make needs to fill a single sheet of paper with color or design.

Timeline:

  • 2 days to make your real world object

Requirements:

  • Create your own illustration of a real world object using Oval, Freehand, Regular and Irregular Polygon tool. Also experiment with grouping, rotating, and selecting techniques.
  • The illustration you make needs to fill a single sheet of paper with color or design and must be a recognizable object.
  • Make it bold and creative.
  • Insert a Header with a creative title.
  • Insert a Footer with your name.
  • Optional: Try to draw the object from a unique perspective.
  • If you are stuck in what you want to make maybe try a cityscape design (skyline at sunset, view down a street, etc).

Evaluation:

  • Please do the Flower Power Rubric, using your real world object you created, with the person at a computer 2 numbers larger than yours.

Final Steps:

  • Name the real world object document "Flower Power Object"
  • Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Tech 6" folder.
  • Go to the next project.
