Purpose:

• To learn basic techniques with a word processor in particular Appleworks Word Processing.

To Do:

• Write one page about the following things: - must have a minimum of 4 paragraphs with 3-4 complete sentences per paragraph
  
  • A. Paragraph 1:
    • Your name
      
    • your parents’ names
      
    • when you were born (date)
      
    • where you were born (hospital name, city, state)
      
    • others in your family: brothers, sisters, pets
      
  • B. Paragraph 2:
    • 2-3 hobbies (things you like to do)
      give a brief explanation of each
      
  • C. Paragraph 3:
    • 2-3 highlights of your life so far (exciting, important, and/or memorable events)
      
    • give a brief explanation of each
      
  • D. Paragraph 4:
    • what you hope to do in the future (a job you think you might want to have, a dream you hope to pursue, and so on)
      

Timeline:

• 4 days
  

Requirements:

• Centered title with a font size bigger that 18 point.
• 1.5 line spacing
• 12 point font (be sure to change the font from Helvetica but pick only one.
• 3-4 graphics from Appleworks “Show Clippings”
  • Be sure to select the arrow tool before going into the library.
    
  • Graphics must relate to your paragraph.
    
  • Text wrap graphics.
    
  • Change graphic to a size that best fits the document.
• 4-5 font style changes
• Fit profile on one page.
• Spellcheck!

Evaluation:

• Please do the Personal Profile Rubric with the person at a computer one number larger than yours.

Final Steps:

• Name the document "Personal Profile."
• Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Tech 6" folder.
• Go to the next project.
