Graphing Survey Data
Purpose
- Take a survey of the class and "Make a Chart" of the data in Appleworks Spreadsheet.
To Do:
- Survey the class on a question. An example would be "What is your favorite color?"
- Create a spreadsheet in Appleworks and put data in table.
- Create a bar graph and a pie graph of the data.
- Write a paragraph describing which graph shows the data best and why.
- Write 2-3 questions that could be asked about your graph.
Timeline
- 3 days.
Requirements
- Title on each graph - 24 point font.
- Each axis is labeled appropriately both vertical (y-axis) and horizontal axis (x-axis).
- A "key" for the pie graph. Use patterns to show the different pieces of the pie.
Evaluation:
- Please do the Graphing Survey Rubric with the person at a computer 5 numbers less than yours.
Final Steps:
- Name the document "Survey"
- Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Tech 6" folder.
- Go to the next project.
