Who Am I

Purpose

  • Learn to input photos using a scanner.
  • Learn to input photos using a digital camera.
  • Learn to create a simple Keynote Presentation.

To Do

  • Create a presentation that tells a bit about you and your life.
  • Sign up to scan in a baby picture of yourself. (640x480, 72 dpi).
  • Sign up to use the digital camera with a partner. You will have 10 minutes to both use the camera to take pictures of each other. Then download the photos into your folders.

Timeline

  • 5 days.

Requirements:

  • Create a new Keynote slide show.
  • Use master slides to create the format for your slideshow.
  • The background of each slide should be the same.
  • Each slide should have a "title" of no more than 6 words and at least one graphic.
  • If additional text is necessary along with the title be sure to use the subtext size font.
  • Pick one transition that will be used to move from slide to slide throughout the presentation.
  • Slide contents:
    • Slide #1 - Baby photo with title "Who Am I"
    • Slide #2 - Trivial fact that happened on your birthday along with an image or graphic to illustrate. Possible title "On my birthday in history..." Use this link to the History Channel. This could be a famous person that shares your birthday or an event that happened on your birthday, etc.
    • Slide #3 - List favorite hobbies with graphics to illustrate. Possible title "Hobbies" or "Favorite things to do."
    • Slide #4 - Place meaning of your name include an illustration. Possible title "My name means..." Use this link to name meanings.
    • Slide #5 - Tell what you plan to be doing in 12 years. Possible title "In 12 years I will..." Include a graphic.
    • Slide #6 - Place digital photo taken with digital camera along with your name in "title" size.
  • Optional:
    • Include additional slides about yourself. Like a favorite vacation, pets, etc.

Evaluation:

  • Please do the Who Am I Rubric, with the person at a computer 1 numbers less than yours.

Final Steps:

  • Name the document "Who Am I"
  • Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Tech 6" folder.
  • Go to the next project.
