Clayanimation
Project #1 - Ball
Purpose:
- Let's get our hands dirty! This initial animation will be very basic to just get a feel for how the animation process works.
To Do:
- Animate a ball of clay. Begins or ends with a ball of clay creatively animated inbetween..
Timeline:
- 3 days.
Requirements:
- One camera angle. The camera should stay fixed in one position and not move. Use a tripod or the table to steady the camera. Do not hold the camera.
- Minimum animation length - 5 seconds (not including title and credits.)
- Minimum frames - 15 frames.
- Nonviolent theme.
- Begins or ends with a ball of clay creatively animated inbetween.
- Title at the beginning.
- Credits at the end.
- Bonus for an A - add sounds, additional text, longer or more frames per second, other creative additions.
Evaluation:
- Please do the Ball Animation Rubric with another group and their animation.
Final Steps:
- Go to "Export Movie" in the "File" menu. Choose Export: "to Quicktime." Choose Formats: "CD-ROM Movie, Medium." Then click "Export."
- Name the file "ball-yourtitle" but keep the .mov on the end.
- Save a copy in a group members "Public" folder and save a copy in a groups members "Tech 7" folder.
- Tell Mr. Vos and he will transfer movie to a firewire harddrive.
- Go to the next project.
