Likes and Dislikes

Purpose:
- To finish a part of your autobiography and also use a variety of Appleworks Word Processing tools.
To Do:
- Create a two column, bulleted "Likes and Dislikes" chart.
- Everybody has likes and dislikes. What are yours? Write about what annoys you and what pleases you.. Below are some ideas to get you thinking:
- List your favorites from any category below or add any others that appeal to your.
- books
- songs
- television shows
- movies
- plays
- kinds of music
- colors
- foods
- flowers
- holidays
- sports
- cities
- restaurants
- dances
- people's names
- clothing
- Look at the categories above. List any items you particularly dislike.
- What are your pet peeves--those annoying little things that drive you crazy?
- What would you most like to learn, or learn more about?
- Out of all the homes you have lived in, what room have you liked best? Why?
- What is your favorite time of year or season? Why?
- What is your favorite spot in all the world? Describe it. Why do you like it so much?
- List your favorites from any category below or add any others that appeal to your.
Timeline:
- 1 day
Requirements:
- Choose a font you will be using throughout your autobiography.
- Create a centered header using "File : Insert Header" using the words "Likes and Dislikes."
- Set up the page so it has two columns. Likes in one column and Dislikes in the other.
- List the "Likes and Dislikes" using bullets or diamonds. Need to have 20 of each.
- Use "Format : Insert Column Break" to split the columns.
- Include at least 4 appropriate text wrapped graphics that relate to your lists.
- Spellcheck!
- Set "File : Page Set-Up" to landscape.
Evaluation:
- Please do the Likes and Dislikes Rubric with another person at an even computer if your computer number is odd. If you computer number is even then do it with a person with an odd computer number.
Final Steps:
- Name the document "Likes and Dislikes"
- Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Autobiography" folder.
- Go to the next project.
