Test Scores
Sample finished Test Scores.
Purpose:
- Learn to organize data in a spreadsheet.
- Learn to enter formulas in a spreadsheet.
- Learn to create a line graph, label the graph, and change the fill colors.
To Do:
- Download the following document: Test Scores
- We will start it together.
Timeline:
- 1 day
Requirements:
- Center headings in row 1.
- Fill in row 2 with the following formulas then use "Calculate: Fill-Down" for each column.
- Column J (Total) "=SUM(B2..I2)"
- Column K (Average) "=AVERAGE(B2..I2)"
- Column L (Max) "=MAX(B2..I2)"
- Column M (Min) "=MIN(B2..I2)"
- Column N (Range) "=L2-M2"
- Enter the following formulas in cells B24, B25, B26 then use "Calculate: Fill-Right" for each row.
- Cell B24 (Average) "=AVERAGE(B2..B23)"
- Cell B25 (Max) "=MAX(B2..B23)"
- Cell B26 (Min) "=MIN(B2..B23)"
- Highlight the first four students and their eight test scores each and make a line graph.
- Proper title for graph.
- Pick different colors for each line and different symbols..
- Label x-axis and y-axis properly.
- Change "Page Set-up" to landscape.
- Adjust spreadsheet data and graph so it fits on one to two pages.
- Add a header with your name on it.
- Save spreadsheet in "Spreadsheet" folder as "Test Scores."
Evaluation:
- Please do the Test Scores Rubric with a person of the opposite gender.
Final Steps:
- Name the document "Test Scores"
- Save a copy in your "Public" folder and save a copy in your "Spreadsheets" folder.
- Go to the next project.
