Our theme this year is taken from Psalm 96:2. "Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclain His salvation day after day." This year we are celebrating Rose Park’s 50th Birthday! We’ll focus on Telling Stories: I love to tell A story, I love to the OUR story, and I LOVE to tell THE STORY! It is wonderful to work in a place where we can openly and boldly tell THE STORY of our our Salvation in Christ alone! It’s going to be a great year!
It is my prayer as an educator at Holland Christian that the children see God's love in me and that they experience God more fully as a result of being in this place. I care deeply for the children in my class and my desire is for them to know and love the Lord. It is such a blessing to teach in a Christian school, and I thank God daily for giving me this opportunity. What a gift!
I am a graduate of Calvin College. This is currently my 13th year as an educator. The past eleven years I have been teaching first grade. Eight years ago Mrs. Wallinga and I began as teaching partners. She is a joy to teach with and we make a great team. I teach in the mornings and Mrs. Wallinga teaches in the afternoons. I am primarily responsible for the Bible, Math, Social Studies and Science curriculum and Mrs. Wallinga is primarily responsible for the Language Arts curriculum.
