It is a new school year !! Welcome to my web page ! You will find that this is an old picture, but doesn't a trip to Hawaii sound
great ?? I am excited to begin another year ! Kindergarten is so fun to teach ! I love to see the children's excitement when I introduce a special letter, or to hear the "OOOhs and AAAHs" during a science lesson ! My biggest thrill is to hear the children recite a Bible passage, or retell a Bible story we have been learning about !
Because
this is the first "official" school
experience for most of the
students, as well as for many
parents, I want to assure you
that am here to help !! I
will try very hard to keep
you informed, as well as to
be available to answer questions
that may come up throughout this
2008-2009 year ! As of now, you may want
to know that we begin at 8:10am (first bell) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
and Fridays, and our day ends at 3:10ish (kindergartners take a little extra time packing up, getting to the bus line, etc.) ! Your child can plan on GYM class on Tuesdays, MUSIC class on Wednesdays, and LIBRARY on Fridays ! Your child will have SPANISH class each school day ! You will receive a "Parent note" from me each week, and a "South Side Newsletter" (usually on Fridays). Although I try to give you many "details", I know you may still have many questions ! Please feel free to contact me by e-mail (sjohnson@hollandchristian.org), or you can use my voice mail (820-3535 ext. 3633). I check these at the beginning and end of each school day, but am usually very busy with your children throughout the day !! (Come and see how busy !!) During the school day, our secretary will take important messages if needed.
I consider it a true blessing to partner with you in the education of your child, and look forward to watching your child GROW physically, and spiritually !
