“Hand in Hand – around God’s World”

Thanks for coming to our “Meet the Teacher” night!  We are blessed to have such committed parents.  If for some reason you were unable to attend, feel free to contact your child’s teacher or our office if you have questions.

Coins Needed – We are still accepting coins from Canada and Mexico.  If you have coins your are willing to donate, please have your child give these to Mrs. Kos.  Our thanks to those of you who have donated some foreign currency already.

YEARBOOK CLARIFICATION:  It was pointed out this past week that yearbooks are included only when purchasing picture packages A through E.  A yearbook is NOT included with any other package.  If you choose to order a yearbook only, that is considered package Y.  Our apologies for the confusion.

Advance Notice – The activity fee for each elementary student this year will be $20.00; this includes the cost of all field trips and grade level swimming lessons.  Forms will be sent home next week; we ask you return the form and the fee by October 12, 2007.

Late Start Day- On September 25 we will have a late start day; this means school will begin at 9:15 instead of 8:15.  If you are in need of childcare between 8 AM and 9:15 AM, please complete the pink form sent home today.  Please return it on Monday, September 24^th.  If there are questions you may contact Pat in the school office at 820-3535.  We will have three such days altogether this school year; the other late start days will be December 5 and March 6. 

Playground Project – Can you help?  You will want to read the bright green flyer regarding an opportunity to help with the tear down of old and/or assembly of new playground structures that will be installed at South Side this year.  You will not only help build a playground but also build friendships with other South Side families. And most of all, you will help build years of fun for the kids!

S & P Parent Teams News – The annual fundraiser kick – off will be held October 5, 2007.  We are in partnership with a new company this year called Midland Fund Raising, and we have many different items we will be selling. Take a few minutes to look at the display at school.

East Saugatuck School Circle will be making apple dumplings Tuesday, October 2.  They are $8.50/dozen and can

be picked up that day from 12:30 to 5pm at East Saugatuck Church.  Please place your orders by calling Shelly Koeman at
