Construction to be on Display at High School Open House

Been wondering what has been happening in the all that construction?  The revamped Holland Christian High School will be on display at an Open House on Friday, September 12 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.  This will give people every chance to see all of the extraordinary changes that have been made to the high school.  From "main street" to the new media center to the new cafeteria.  There will be information supplied regarding the present changes and the changes still set to come over the course of the school year.  To see photos of the construction process click here: PHOTOS        

Tennis to Have Grand Opening of New Facility September 20

Holland Christian High School will unveil its new tennis complex during a grand opening ceremony to take place on Saturday, September 20.  The festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. when members of the school’s tennis teams will hold a clinic for children in grades K-8.  All children of the Holland community are invited to attend.  Following the hour long clinic, a short ceremony will be held where past high school coaches will be recognized, lunch will be served, the first tennis ball will be hit, past high school players will compete, and a semi-pro doubles tennis match will take place. 

Preschoolers Outing at Varsity Football Game

Preschoolers of Holland Christian are invited to the varsity football game at the high school campus on Friday, September 12 when the Maroons host Byron Center in their OK-Green conference opener.  The night will begin with a complimentary tailgating meal (inside the fence) being served between 5:30-6:30 p.m. followed up with a family football game pass.  To sign up for this evening of fun email: gvogelzang@hollandchristian.org.  Please be sure to give your name and number of family members needing meal and game passes. 

Link Crew Starts Out High School Year

"Link Crew" kicked off the 2008-2009 high school year.  This is the program developed to help freshmen get used to their new setting and environment.  Senior leaders take groups of freshmen and throughout the course of the day, lead them through the building, their classrooms and end in Chapel.  Also, the day is filled with fun games that help the freshmen get to know one another, as well as students in other grades.  To see photos of the first day and Link Crew please click here: PHOTOS

CHAMPS Golf Challenge Approaching

The CHAMPS Athletic Boosters have announced the date and information for their second annual Golf Challenge.  The golf challenge is set for September 20, 2008 and is in its second year of aiding the CHAMPS organization in raising funds for needed equipment and facilities for all sports at all levels.  These funds also help CHAMPS create a greater interest in Christian school athletics.  All men, women, seniors and youth are invited to attend this event where dinner is included.  There are also prizes and giveaways.  The challenge is set in a four player scramble format in various divisions with an awards dinner immediately following.  See the Golf Challenge website for all the information and for the registration form.  Registration forms are to be mailed by the deadline of September 8, 2008.  Golf Challenge
