BOC Boosters is a support organization composed of all parents of Band, Orchestra, and Choir members and any other persons interested in promoting the music program of Holland Christian Schools. The organization raises funds to be used for instruments, equipment, uniforms, and scholarships to music camps. Each year the BOC Beverly Geerlings Memorial Scholarship Fund provides Holland Christian students with scholarships to attend Calvin's Knollcrest Music Camp, the Interlochen Music Camp, the Blue Lakes Fine Arts Camp and who participate in the Harbor Choral Festival of Music. The Holland Christian Jazz Bands are proud to present the second annual “Swingin’ the Night Away” event at Christ Memorial Church on Thursday, February 5, from 7-9 p.m. Join us for a great night of swing dancing lessons, groovin’ jazz music, and refreshments. Admission is $5, and goes to support the music program at HCHS. New to swing dancing? No worries! Dance instructor Barb Appledorn will teach us the basic steps of swing, so the evening can be enjoyed by novice and experienced dancers alike. Not in the mood for dancing? Come socialize, indulge in some delicious desserts and coffee, and enjoy the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, and Duke Ellington. Tickets are $5 at the door.
