Coach David Kool
Assistant AD & PE Teacher at HCHS – 3RD year coaching (7TH overall)
Sports is similar to life–in the fact that there are many ups and downs throughout the season. Basketball is no different, and I love that about the game of basketball. I love coaching basketball because of the relationships it allows me to have with all involved in the program. We can share our experiences together and navigate through them as a team. I believe if they can do this while playing the game of basketball, they are going to be able to do this throughout their adult life as well. Coaching at Holland Christian makes my job even better as I am able to tie everything to Jesus and his mercy and grace that he gives us daily.
Coach Jeff Keen
Assistant Principal at HCHS – 1st year coaching (15th Overall)
I believe the game of basketball teaches many valuable life lessons such as hard work, commitment, teamwork, and dealing with adversity. Being able to coach at Holland Christian allows me to share how God can use these life lessons in the game of basketball to help shape Holland Christian players into becoming more like Jesus.

I coach to impact the lives of young men in a positive way that leads them in their strides of becoming a man of God. I aim to teach self-motivation, perseverance, competitiveness, and ways to handle the adversity they will face in their lives.
Coaches Ann Pawloski & Melissa Vanderzwaag

We coach because we love working with students of all ability levels. Coaching a unified team is about finding the unique strengths and abilities in each person as well as helping them develop authentic friendships with each other.
