Coach Paul Klokkert
Facility & Events, Head Custodian at HCS – 4th year coaching (5th Overall)
Coaching is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. When the opportunity came up at Holland Christian to coach the girls and boys golf teams, I had no idea that it would become such a big part of my life. Working “behind the scenes” at Holland Christian is a wonderful blessing, but it doesn’t always provide the opportunity to get to know the students beyond surface level conversation. Coaching has provided the opportunity to mentor, support, and invest in our student-athletes, and it has enriched my life in becoming better connected to the Holland Christian community. The game of golf has a way of teaching important lessons, since in life we rarely reach our goals in one “stroke.”
Coach Michael Winowiecki
Social Studies Teacher at HCHS – 2nd year coaching (2nd Overall)
As a former athlete, I’ve come to find that sports not only allows us to engage in something that we are passionate about, but also allows us the opportunity to learn a lot about life as well. Things like pursuing a common goal, working alongside others, as well as persevering through challenging circumstances are just a few of the many examples. As a coach, it is my goal to help my student-athletes reach their full potential by understanding that growth is only accomplished through challenge, and doing so in a way that honors God and brings joy to their lives.
