The Tuition Grant Fund (TGF) exists to provide tuition assistance to families who demonstrate a financial need–which is approximately 30% of the students attending Holland Christian Schools each year. Therefore the Tuition Grant Fund has made Christian education available to many families who desire such a Christ-centered education for their children, while also increasing the economic diversity of our student body since the financial barrier for parents has been reduced. Each year approximately $1,000,000 in financial support is awarded in tuition assistance.

It’s a fund that keeps giving out, so it also needs to be continually added to. Last year more than 1,400 people, churches and companies financially supported the Tuition Grant Fund. To reach our $1,500,000 goal this year, we kindly request parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of Holland Christian Schools to prayerfully consider a donation to this fund, as well as to participate in any of the quality events below. For more information about the Tuition Grant Fund, please contact our Advancement Department at or (616) 820-2805.

But we also want to say thank you. We as a school say a huge thank you to all who support the TGF, because we get to teach and love kids we wouldn’t otherwise know. Our school community is better for it. And the families who receive tuition aid through the TGF are also hugely grateful for the chance to attend Holland Christian, when they otherwise would not be able to without it. A few families had the chance to say thanks specifically to TGF donors, and we had our HCS staff read their comments:

Along with donations, we also plan a variety of special events for the coming year to support the Tuition Grant Fund. We hope you’ll mark your calendar for several of these!

Wednesday, October 28, 2020 7 am-noon
Holland, MI
We recognize almost daily how blessed we are to live and work in such a great place as Holland, Michigan. But it becomes even more clear on days like the B&I Drive, when area businesses donate toward a much-needed chunk or our annual operating costs. On the day of our B&I Drive, we typically send out 50-60 volunteers, including alumni business people, a few high school students, and some HC staff who can be spared for a few hours, all heavily laden with our HC cinnamon rolls. They visit a host of area businesses in pairs, dropping off cinnamon rolls, and often collecting checks right on the spot. If you or your business would like to be involved, or if you would be willing to spend a couple of hours on October 3o making calls to area businesses on behalf of Holland Christian Schools, please contact our Advancement Department at 616-820-2813 or
