Pine Ridge August 2021 Newsletter

We are already busy preparing the Pine Ridge classrooms and halls to be filled with smiles and laughter in a few weeks. Although summer is still in full swing please know that we continue to pray and think of each child who will walk the halls of Pine Ridge daily. It is our hope that you are also preparing your heart and mind, along with your children for a great year at Pine Ridge!

Every year Holland Christian chooses a theme that carries us through the year. It unites us in a singular focus and gives us a common language to use with students. This year’s theme is ROOTED: to be formed, made and developed. In the word of God we find multiple examples of men and women who stayed faithful to the teachings of Jesus and rooted in his love. As we gather and prepare for all the learning that will take place we meditate on the words of Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord, making the Lord his trust. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by a stream. He won’t fear when the heat comes, and his leaves will be green. In a year of drought he won’t be concerned, nor will he stop producing fruit.” This past year may have left some with feelings of insecurity and instability. Maybe you and your family have felt a drought of sorts and have had moments of concern….I think we have all felt this at one time or another. Yet we know that we are not alone, we have a faith rooted in something larger than ourselves. We pray that this NEW school year will provide a much needed foundation in which students and staff alike can be newly rooted in the word of God and in what it means to be formed, made and developed by our good good father.

I look forward to meeting you all as we begin a new year!

Health Appraisal and Immunization Requirements

Health appraisals are required for our 2021-22 incoming preschool and kindergarten students. As you schedule your well child appointments with your health care provider, please be aware these evaluations will need to be completed. All students must be up-to-date on their immunizations BEFORE they start the new school year. Any students without the required immunizations or approved waivers will not be allowed to begin school until they are complete and approved by the State of Michigan. We are grateful for your help with this!
