Rose Park News Blog, 4/13/18

Dear Rose Park Family and Friends,

I don’t know about you, but spring vacation seems like a distant memory already. This week alone we had a “Meet the Spanish Immersion Teachers” event for the parents of our Immersion students next year. The evening was filled chips, salsa, guacamole, and with energy and excitement for this new program to begin at Rose Park next year. I also had a 5th evening of new family “interviews.” These 30-minute conversations are a wonderful opportunity for me to meet new parents to Rose Park, and for them to meet me. We talk about a variety of things from our mission, to what we mean by a faith-integrated education, to the partnership we enter into, as well as some more detailed items related to the next school year. In the end we affirm a shared vision, intention, and prayerful partnership together around our children. They really are beautiful meetings. And this year, so many of them! So many great new families are joining the Rose Park community! And, many of these new families had no prior ties to HCS. They are coming out of a Spirit-led desire for Christian education. They are coming inspired by a winsome Rose Park or Holland Christian experience and story of a friend, neighbor, coworker, and even sometimes positive social media buzz. These conversations are filled with eager anticipation and excitement for what God has in store for these families and for us at Rose Park. There is so much good to highlight every day here at Rose Park. The beginnings of these new relationships forming with new families is just one of the good things I get to see and experience at Rose Park.

Speaking of good things, I haven’t even talked about next Tuesday night’s Rose Park Preschool – 4th grade Spring Program! Oh, are you in for a treat! We’ve been working so hard, staff and students alike, to experience an evening filled with the Gospel and wonderful songs of praise and worship to our God. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

Now, may you continue to be filled with resurrection hope this weekend with your families in rest, recreation, and in awe-filled worship. This has been another growth, and meaning-filled week at Rose Park, partnering with you and the rest of the staff, equipping young and eager minds, nurturing soft and tender hearts, to transform the world for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
